In our generation global population has grown from 2 billion people to more than 7 billion.  Yes, you read that correctly . . . more than 5 billion new people on the planet in the span of 80 years!  More than 7 billion people who desperately need to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.

That’s why URGENCY must be one of the life values of a follower of Jesus.  That’s why Stadia and RiverTree and hundreds of other churches across the U.S. are becoming more and more involved in planting new churches.  That’s why we care for children at risk (the majority of the world’s population growth is placing children in areas of extreme poverty).

Urgency is simply something that requires immediate attention or action.  300,000 people die every day.  21,000 children die every 24 hours as a result of poverty or poverty related preventable diseases.  And unfortunately, currently, there are simply are not enough expressions of the local church to share the Good News of Jesus now and forever with such staggering numbers.

But there will be!

Through prayer, collaboration, financial investment, strategic partnerships and the hard work of sold-out followers of Jesus, new churches are being planted in cities and countries both locally and around the globe. This year alone, Stadia will open 12 new churches in Ecuador and 16 in the United States.  In 2013, 12 more in Ecuador, 2 in Bolivia, 2 in Chile, 2 in Mexico and 22 in the U.S.!

Will you help with this urgent need?
