When I returned from climbing Kilimanjaro Julie explained that she wanted to do a climb with me. Sooo, Memorial Day weekend we’re climbing Pikes Peak in Colorado. No easy climb . . . 14,110 feet at the summit. Average temperature at the top on Memorial Day weekend is 20 degrees. 12 miles from bottom to top. Should take 8-9 hours. Good times . . .
Sounds like a wonderful challenge. You both will do well. I on the other hand will be taking my daughter Kelly to her AAU basketball tournament near Sandusky and will be a chaperone the teams visit to Cedar Point. Different task not easy at times as well.
I look forward to the days my husband and myself can do those things. I will be enjoying one of the last few weekends with my husband before he leaves for his second tour of Iraq. A challenge indeed.
