I walked into the agency, they handed me Elijah and I fell apart. I mean I lost it–just started weeping. Post some pictures soon, Greg. Anonymous on April 15, 2008 at 7:57 pm God is good. “Take the old prophets as your mentors. They put up with anything, went through everything, and never quit, all the time honoring God. What a gift life is to those who stay the course! You’ve heard, of course, of Job’s staying power, and you know how God brought it all together for him at the end. That’s because God cares right down to the last detail.” James 5:10-11 The Message Elijah John has great parents because they love and honor God. In Christ,Steve and Kathy Our Family... on April 15, 2008 at 8:29 pm A HUGE Congratulations to you and your beautiful family. What a joy your family will experience as a result of opening your home to Elijah. Two short years ago we became a transracially adoptive family. Often times I’ve thanked God for allowing me to see life through the perspective of my African American children. I pray that your journey down this road blesses your family and shows others that ALL of God’s children deserve a loving family. He has an incredible plan for each of us. Thanks for allowing us to watch God work to bring him home! Jen on April 15, 2008 at 10:01 pm Congrats!!! We’re so happy for you. (Let’s see pictures!!) Even in the midst of the murkiness of this your faithfulness to Him who LOVES us was an inspiration and as he is true to his word the following was lived out: “Therefore the LORD, the God of Israel, declares: ‘I promised that your house and your father’s house would minister before me forever.’ But now the LORD declares: ‘Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.” 1 Samuel 2:30 We obviously know what category your family falls under brother. Tracy Carpenter on May 8, 2008 at 7:28 pm Greg,Wow, you don’t know this but I am adopted! I had a wonderful childhood with wonderful parents who were married 43 years… I am so thankful someone gave me up and gave me such a great life…I pray your life with your new son will be fantastic! [I know it will] My mom gave me this poem when I was little and still cherish it… you prob have it … but just in case I thought your wife might like it… Not flesh of my flesh, nor bone of my bone, by still miraculously my own. Never forget for a single minute You didn’t grow under my heart but in it. The best is yet to come! …Tracy [Carpenter] Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
