This was the single most intense opening day of any missions trip I’ve been on.
We began the day at Nuevos Amigos–an amazing school for children living in poverty that is run by ChildReach Ministries. As always, we came to be a blessing and we were the ones who were truly blessed. It started when we were led into a class of first graders. After the children sang songs they had prepared for us and gave us gifts they had made for us . . . a little 6 year old girl named Melanie prayed for us–and I mean she prayed for us! How does a six year old know how to pray for our safety on the mountain, to thank God for using us to bless her school and community, to openly speak her heart before us and before God?
Every class prayed for us!!!
So God, please use us to be a blessing, to somehow give back to these amazing kids who have given so much to us, to have your heart for children at risk who are so loved by you.
The overwhelming love we felt when we were there was life changing. These little ones have such an amazing way to show how much they love and trust our Lord! Safe climbing to all!!
The pure heart and mind of a child without the walls many of us have. The walls around our hears and minds that can restrict the outward actions to just love one another and show obedience to God. The 6 year old probably wasn’t worried about being critiqued. A good lesson.
I think what you are doing is amazing. I hope that one day my husband and I will have the opportunity to be a part of something so wonderful, to be a blessing to others and to see Gods work first hand. Peace be with you all!!!

Just praying for you guys as you are being Gate Crashers and Kingdom Buildings. Also, I thank you for sharing with all of us who have been to Quito, Peru or Tanzania on missions trips. It helps me to remember “how much is enough”. God bless.
